Food Truck UK was born from a love of authentic Indian street food and a desire to share it with the whole country.
Where It All Started
Growing up, food was always at the heart of everything. Family gatherings meant hours in the kitchen, the smell of spices filling every room, and plates piled high with food made from recipes passed down through generations.
Food Truck UK started as a simple idea: take those recipes — the samosas, the chaat, the gulab jamun — out of the kitchen and onto the streets. We wanted to share the real flavours of Indian street food with people across the UK, not a watered-down version, but the genuine article.
We started with a single stall at a local market in West London. The response was overwhelming. People kept coming back, bringing friends, asking when we'd be at the next event. That was all the encouragement we needed.
Freshness First
We prepare everything fresh on the day. No pre-made batches, no shortcuts. If it's not fresh, it doesn't go on the plate.
Authentic Recipes
Our recipes come from home kitchens, not cookbooks. We cook the way our families taught us — with proper spices, proper technique and proper care.
Community
Street food is about people. We love the energy of markets and festivals, the conversations over a plate of chaat, the smiles when someone tries pani puri for the first time.

Manideep started Food Truck UK with a passion for authentic Indian cooking and a belief that great street food should be accessible to everyone. He oversees everything from menu development to event logistics.
